Biography

Niece of Jimmy Choo, Lucy Choi’s family dynasty of shoemaking is evident in her beautifully crafted luxury footwear. With collections for day, evening, weekends, holidays and weddings, Lucy Choi believes in making shoe shopping fun and easy. Her shoes are rich in both texture and multidimensional design; comfortable yet statement-making.

Ironically, given it is she who has taken over the hallowed 18 Connaught Street, Lucy Choi was something of a family rebel and didn’t want to get into the shoe business.

She studied business before taking a job in sales but the pull of footwear eventually got to her and she joined London-based ballet flats specialist French Sole, where she stayed for 10 years.

Lucy Choi opened her flagship store in London last August, pioneering the next generation of luxury footwear and following in the footsteps of her uncle Jimmy Choo. The brand has combined this unique heritage, set of fashion credentials, and design expertise in order to launch an innovative shoe label that is at the same time extremely chic, comfortable and affordable. Inspired by a Rock ‘n’ Royal theme and the two Kates – the edgy and iconic Kate Moss and the elegant and classic Kate Middleton – Lucy Choi London shoes cater for all tastes and occasions, from the red carpet to chilling out on the beach in St Tropez. The brand seeks to create a ‘one stop shop’ for the consumer, and advocates that luxury should be accessible and affordable, without compromising on the 3 C’s: Comfort, Craftsmanship, and Character.

Lucy Choi London has recently been featured in publications including Vogue, Tatler, Brides, Hello, Grazia, Marie Claire, Stella Magazine, The Times, Financial Times How To Spend It, Woman & Home, You & Your Wedding, Wedding & many more, and has been worn by celebrities such as Darcey Bussell, Molly King, Chiara Ferragni and Cheryl Fernandez Versini.

Lucy Choi London’s UK stockists include Net-A-Porter, matchesfashion.com, Harvey Nichols nationwide, Fenwick of Bond Street, Wolf & Badger of Dover Street, Arnotts in Dublin, Anna Boutique, Question-Air Boutique and over 80 further high end boutiques across the UK. The collection is sold internationally at Harvey Nichols Dubai and Hong Kong, Saks Fifth Avenue Dubai, and boutiques in Dublin, Italy, Belgium, Singapore and the Middle East. The full collection is also available to purchase from the Lucy Choi London flagship store in Connaught Village, London
