Jimmy Choo Memento (20th Anniversary)
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jimmy Choo's shoes and bags being featured on the red carpet at major award ceremonies such as The Oscars and The Golden Globe's, Jimmy Choo has released a special capsule collection called "Memento". The memento capsule features the most popular red carpet shoes such as the "Lance" whilst also providing some new styles such as the "Rox" and "Storm" styles. Jimmy Choo shoes have been featured on many celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Anna Kendrick, and British royals such as Princess Diana and Kate Middleton "The Dutch of Cambridge).
The collection comprises of 16 unique styles and multiple variations (32 in total).
The new styles (the Rox and Storm) are the highlights within the collection, due to the t-bar style, the soft suede material covered in crystal jewels. The "Rox" has an open toe, whilst the "Storm" has a pointed toe, both styles both come in either nude or black colour and cost a pricey £2,750. They are custom made, which is reflected in the price, but sure to be worn at future red carpet awards by actresses and celebrities.
My favourite styles of the collection would be the "Romy" as I like the classic pointed toe, (such as the Anouk and Abel), and the "Tux" platinum suede clutch bag with the Crystal Chainmail Tassels. The light honey mirrored leather "Romy" pumps could well be featured in any of Jimmy Choo's collections, if they were in a nude or black colour they would certainly fit the "Icons 24:7" collection. The Tux bag is elegant and my first thoughts that come to mind are an exquisite dinner ball with high painted ceilings and draping chandeliers. This bag has got to feature in the future at "The Oscars" or "The Emmys" otherwise it will be a disservice to this amazing clutch bag. I can visualise it being worn with a white silk blend embellished gown dress by Zuhair Murad.
Overall the collection features mostly strappy sandals in silver or black, with the use of jewels. I can see all 16 unique styles being featured on the red carpet in years to come and this collection is a great way to celebrate Jimmy Choo and his successes at the top of the fashion industry.
